Ryte Tech Award – Keith Neal

Ryte Tech Award – Keith Neal

Formerly a project manager for a local restoration company who’s been with Rytech of Northwest Georgia for four months, the winner of the Ryte Tech Award for the month of September 2019 is Keith Neal.

Some would say he’s an unusual guy. As the only boy in a family with six children, Keith has spent time in the sports world and holding and pursuing jobs in law enforcement. He was an Atlanta police officer and is currently enrolled in, and will soon graduate from, a cyber security training program. This, to complement his existing Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.

Keith and daughter Ari attend a Birthday dinner together.

Another key word in Keith’s vocabulary is family. He and wife Ariel have three children: Kingston (11 months), Karli (4) and Ari (5).

Then, there’s sports. How many people do you know that have actually played football with Cam Newton? Keith’s also played with Mike Tolbert, a three-time pro bowler and first-team All-Pro fullback for the Carolina Panthers, later the Buffalo Bills.

How many people do you know who’ve played basketball with Dwight Howard, the 6’11” power forward for the Los Angeles Lakers? Keith has. He’s also played basketball against Josh Smith a 6’9” power forward from the New Orleans Pelicans.

These high profile relationships developed either in college or while attending the well-known Fulton County Georgia prep school, Westlake High School. In 2005 it had six graduates that went on to the NFL. More than any other high school in the entire nation.

Keith also earned three championship rings playing college basketball for South Georgia Tech.

When it comes to water, Keith has what some would call a love/hate relationship. He hates invasive water in someone’s home, for example, and is IICRC certified in water, fire and mold remediation. He’s also credentialed in Applied Structural Drying (ASD) with “commercial” mold licenses in Texas, Louisiana and Florida.

But… water in a swimming pool is a different matter. While also coaching baseball and developing skilled basketball players, Keith also finds time to train both children and adults how to swim–something he’s been doing for the last 20 years on a swim team and as a head lifeguard.

Congratulations to Keith Neal—winner of the Ryte Tech award, September 2019.
